Role Description
Pella Hill Virtual Academy is seeking a candidate who would like to become a part of a team of educators who prayerfully and skillfully develop studentsโ attitudes, skills, and subject competencies that will contribute to their spiritual development as mature, able, and responsible Christians.

Believe that the Bible is Godโs Word and standard for faith and daily living.

Agree with Pella's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education.
Requirements

Agreement and acceptance of expectations of Pella Hill staff, as outlined in the schoolโs Staff Handbook.

Cooperate with the Board of Directors and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.

Placing duties ahead of other hobbies, jobs, or volunteer activities during Pella hours.

Maintaining a personal appearance that aligns with school policy.

Using acceptable English in written and oral communication; speaking with clear articulation.

Demonstrating the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.

Representing Pella Hill favorably and professionally to parents, students, and the general public.
Primary Functions
-
Create and maintain high school academic 4-year plan for each student in grades 9-12.
-
Begin in eighth grade.
-
Review the plan every year with students and parents.
-
Work with students for post-secondary planning.
-
Survey colleges and know admission standards.
-
Survey military options and understand admission standards.
-
Understand dual credit options.
-
Develop a program that probes issues for Christian students taking dual credit college courses.
-
Meet individually with students taking dual credit (weekly).
-
Help students register for the ACT/SAT.
-
Facilitate and track students who need and have taken the Civics Exam.
-
Become the School Assessment Coordinator for the ACT and Forward exams.
-
Coordinate in-person and online Forward exam.
-
Coordinate the teaching of an ACT prep class.
-
Coordinate the teaching of a servant-leadership class and tie to The Trek.
-
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Teamwork
-
Promote and support Pella Hill's vision, mission, and statement of faith.

Communicate with Pella leaders, teachers, and staff.
-
Attend and participate in required calendar events.
-
Communicate practice and planning information with families.
-
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Compensation
-
This is a part-time, 20 hr/week, 12-month hourly position with generous time off.

Pay rate dependent on experience, starting at $20/hr.
Structure

Start date: July 1, 2026.

Position will report to the Pella Hill Principal.

Must be able to work at home and manage time well while working collaboratively in a team.

Most, but not all, hours to be performed during regular business hours Monday through Friday. Some nights and weekends may be required.

Must be a Wisconsin resident.
