Role Description
The adjunct professor with the ABA Online program will support studentsโ success in courses specific to ABA Online, including certificate and masterโs programs. The adjunct professor will:

Conduct synchronous, online instructional meetings.

Facilitate student learning via student engagement and discussion.

Answer student questions regarding course content and processes during course meetings and via email.

Respond to discussion board posts for their assigned courses.
-
Remain current in the field of behavior analysis as well as the specific content covered in their assigned course(s).

Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Additional responsibilities include:

Conduct all online meetings as scheduled and ensure they start and end on time.

Present original materials that include frequent opportunities for active student responding.

Ensure content is clear and accurate to supplement the pre-recorded lecture videos.

Use teaching techniques that maintain student engagement and encourage student discussion and collaboration.

Provide explanations, examples, and tips with an emphasis on difficult or complex concepts.

Record online meetings.
-
Adhere to all instructor duties outlined in the instructor guide.

Maintain a positive classroom environment.
-
Prepare for course meetings by reviewing and/or editing materials and planning opportunities for student engagement.

Respond to student emails within 24 hours.

Enter student attendance within 24 hours of the scheduled online meeting.

Monitor student progress and communicate with students regarding progress as needed.

Participate in the discussion boards as directed by the lead instructor for assigned course(s).

Complete trainings (e.g., Workday learning) required by the institution as needed.

Provide accurate availability for scheduling purposes up to one semester ahead of the scheduled term.

Attend a pre-semester instructor meeting one week before each semester or review the recording.
Qualifications

Masterโs degree in a relevant field.

Experience in online teaching and course facilitation.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
