Role Description
Seeking an experienced and skilled System Administrator to provide support for WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
- Answering and troubleshooting support requests
- Renewing SSL/TLS certificates
- Running Ansible playbooks to ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure
- Ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of these platforms
- Troubleshooting issues related to application servers
Responsibilities
- Monitor WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat application servers for performance, availability, and security using Dynatrace and Splunk
- Perform routine system checks and maintenance tasks
- Respond to and resolve alerts and incidents promptly
- Provide first and second-level support for WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat environments
- Respond to and troubleshoot issues related to application servers and web servers
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence
- Manage and troubleshoot server logs, configurations, and connectivity issues
- Install, renew, and troubleshoot SSL/TLS certificates across WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat servers
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the middleware stack
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers, as necessary
- Support implementation activities and incident resolution
- Execute Ansible playbooks for configuration management, deployment, and maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot and optimize existing playbooks for better efficiency
- Apply patches, updates, and security fixes to WebLogic, Apache, and Tomcat servers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of WebLogic, Apache HTTP Server, and Tomcat application servers in a Linux environment
- Experience with SSL/TLS certificate management (installation, renewal, troubleshooting)
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
- 2-4 years of experience in system administration or middleware support roles
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a challenging environment
