Role Description

We are seeking an autonomous, highly adaptable Technical Operations Engineer to serve as a generalist technical operator across SRE/DevOps, QA automation, data integrity, and technical support.

In this role, you will own system observability, clean tool integrations, and data accuracy across core platforms including CRM, customer portal, and product analytics. You will act as the primary technical operator keeping systems reliable and data trustworthy, leveraging modern AI tools as a daily multiplier while maintaining total ownership over final execution and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• System Observability & Incident Response: Monitor system health proactively, catch potential points of failure before escalation, and run efficient post-incident fixes.
• Automation & Alerting: Build and maintain observability tooling and automated checks to eliminate manual engineering toil across the organization.
• Data Integrity & Reconciliation: Own core data accuracy across CRM, customer portals, payments, and support platforms, investigating and resolving discrepancies at the root cause level.
• Self-Serve Dashboards & Reporting: Create clear, accessible dashboards that allow non-technical business stakeholders to self-serve operational answers independently.
• AI-Assisted Technical Execution: Utilize modern AI tools daily to accelerate output, verify logic, and troubleshoot, maintaining strict standards for accuracy and code quality.

Qualifications

• Multi-Domain Technical Experience: Hands-on experience across at least two core areas: SRE/DevOps, QA automation, data operations, or L3 technical support.
• Core Technical Stack: Working proficiency with AWS, Terraform, Datadog or comparable monitoring stacks, and Cypress or alternative test automation frameworks.
• Programming & Database Skills: Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python; confident writing and analyzing complex SQL and NoSQL queries, with MongoDB experience as a plus.
• Data Flow Mastery: Proven track record maintaining clean data syncs across CRMs, payment processors, and analytics platforms.
• Communication & Mindset: Exceptional written and spoken English with the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear language for non-technical teammates. Strong bias for action and comfort operating with high agency in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• Compensation: $2,000 to $3,500 USD / month (depending on experience and at client’s discretion)
• Location: Remote (Latin America or Philippines)
• Shift / Schedule: Full-Time (US EST Time-Zone Overlap)
• Employment Type: Independent Contractor
