[Hiring] Staff Cloud Engineer @Hatch IT

Role Description

Babel Street is seeking a skilled Staff Cloud Engineer to help design, build, and scale their cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will blend expertise from Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Networking to solve complex problems across multiple cloud environments.

In this role you will join a highly diverse team of Platform, Network, Cloud and Software Engineers to help support mission critical systems. You will work closely with other Cloud Engineers to:

• Design and maintain our infrastructure
• Drive cloud architecture decisions
• Lead initiatives that improve the reliability and scalability of our applications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure in GCP and AWS
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources in a repeatable, scalable manner
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, CloudWatch, Prometheus) to ensure system health, performance, and reliability
• Experience planning and executing cloud-to-cloud workload migrations, including assessment, re-architecture, and cutover strategies across major cloud platforms
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Requirements

• $120,000 - $140,000 a year
