[Hiring] Site Reliability Engineer Intern @Credit Acceptance

Role Description

This role involves working as an intern in the Engineering and Analytics Team at Credit Acceptance.

• Design and develop software
• Write unit-tests and validate your software against acceptance criteria
• Apply team coding, documenting, and testing standards
• Participate in code reviews and communicate application changes
• Document code and projects for easy understanding, maintenance, and support
• Debug problems that arise in production
• Read and write design documents
• Contribute to team's sprint commitments and actively participate in Agile practices
• Learn the business process domain to better support the business

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or closely related field of study
• Conceptual understanding and use of one or more object-oriented programming languages
• Experience working in a team environment

Requirements

• Ability to navigate and operate integrated development environments (IDE)
• Experience with commonly used application programming interfaces (API) and frameworks: JSON, Rest/SOAP based Web Services, JUnit, and GitHub preferred
• Understand basic database design techniques and ability to create simple database queries
• Experience developing and/or supporting production applications
• Experience troubleshooting issues across the network, operating system, and application layers
• Experience running and operating applications on Kubernetes

• Targeted Compensation: $23/hour
