[Hiring] Site Reliability Engineer @System Soft Technologies

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with Azure Cloud expertise to join our growing cloud operations team in the LATAM region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for improving platform reliability, scalability, performance, automation, and operational excellence across Azure-based environments. This role requires strong experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, monitoring, incident management, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

The SRE will work closely with Cloud Engineers, DevOps teams, Developers, Security teams, and Business stakeholders to ensure highly available and resilient cloud services.

• Design, implement, and support highly available, scalable, and secure Azure cloud environments.
• Maintain and improve reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.
• Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.
• Develop automation solutions using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or related tools.
• Configure and optimize Azure services including:
  • Azure Virtual Machines
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure App Services
  • Azure Functions
  • Azure Storage
  • Azure Networking
  • Azure SQL and Azure Cosmos DB
• Monitor platform health using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana, Prometheus, and related observability tools.
• Lead incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident reviews.
• Define and maintain SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve application reliability and operational readiness.
• Implement security and compliance best practices across cloud environments.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support critical production systems.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and disaster recovery procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Engineering, Systems Engineering, or DevOps roles.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and security principles.
• Experience managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized applications.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration.
• Experience with incident management, problem management, and production support.
