Role Description
In this Build Platform team Site Reliability Engineer role, you will significantly impact the developer experience, enabling developers across our R&D teams to ship scalable applications with high speed, quality, and performance. If platform and build infrastructure excite you, this is your role.
- Use SRE skills to keep the Builds systems running with high reliability.
- Help improve and iterate existing reliability practices.
- Bring new ideas/practices to increase reliability and reduce toil.
- Spearhead implementation of new capabilities.
- Share SRE expertise with other teams in the company.

- Skilled in systems engineering and may have specialized expertise in specific areas.

- Adept at leading postmortems and designing deployment and monitoring pipelines.

- Self-motivated, work independently with high-quality output, and seek help or new tasks when needed.

- Thrive on candid feedback, solving complex problems, and helping fellow engineers succeed while working on valuable projects.
Requirements
- Experience with Octopus Server, written in .NET and uses SQL database.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity and GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with Azure services, including AppServices, AKS Clusters, and Azure Functions.
- Experience with Linux containers and Dockerhub/Artifactory container registries.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
- Experience with observability tools like OpenTelemetry, SumoLogic, and Honeycomb.

Compensation
The compensation for this role is:
- Level 2 - Site Reliability Engineer: Maturing: $115k AUD / $125k NZD, Performing: $135k AUD / $145k NZD
- Level 3 - Senior Site Reliability Engineer: Maturing: $145k AUD / $155k NZD, Performing: $165k AUD / $175k NZD
Salaries exclude Super and Kiwi Saver.
Interview Process
- Initial Chat [30 min]: Meet with a Talent Acquisition team member.
- Engineering Problem Presentation [60 min]: Prepare and present a presentation to two team members.
- Hiring Manager chat [30 min]: Final call to answer any last questions.
