Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior TechOps Analyst with a strong focus on observability, monitoring, logging, and APM (Application Performance Monitoring) platforms, particularly Coralogix or comparable solutions such as Splunk. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our production systems through proactive monitoring, deep analysis, and continuous improvement of observability practices.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise in logging architectures, distributed systems, APM tooling, Linux environments, and cloud platforms, combined with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

What You Will Get to Do

  • Observability, Monitoring & APM
    • Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive observability solutions using Coralogix or similar platforms.
    • Deploy and manage APM tools to monitor application performance, latency, and service dependencies.
    • Develop and optimize dashboards, alerts, and queries to ensure proactive detection of incidents and performance bottlenecks.
    • Establish best practices for logging, metrics, tracing, and APM instrumentation across distributed systems.
    • Perform deep analysis of logs, traces, and metrics to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes of system issues.
    • Drive improvements in alert quality, reducing noise while increasing actionable insights.
  • Incident Management & Troubleshooting
    • Act as a senior escalation point for complex production incidents.
    • Leverage APM, logs, and metrics to quickly isolate and resolve performance issues.
    • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and document findings with actionable remediation steps.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system outages and performance degradation.
    • Participate in on-call rotations and provide timely resolution of critical issues.
  • Platform & Infrastructure Operations
    • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) for performance, cost, and reliability.
    • Work closely with DevOps and SRE teams to enhance system resilience and scalability.
    • Implement automation for operational tasks and monitoring workflows.
  • Logging & Data Management
    • Architect and maintain centralized logging pipelines.
    • Ensure proper log ingestion, parsing, enrichment, and retention strategies.
    • Optimize log storage and query performance within observability platforms.
    • Enforce logging standards and governance across development teams.
  • Collaboration & Enablement
    • Partner with engineering, security, and product teams to integrate observability and APM into the development lifecycle.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship on monitoring, logging, and APM best practices.
    • Conduct training sessions and create documentation for internal stakeholders.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational maturity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or similar roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Coralogix, Splunk, or comparable observability/logging platforms.
  • Proven experience with APM tools (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, AppDynamics, Instana, Sentry).
  • Strong expertise in monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting strategies in production environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices architectures.
  • Openness for 24/7 shift work + on call weekends schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern observability frameworks (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Exposure to security monitoring and SIEM tools.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms or observability/APM tools are a plus.
