[Hiring] Senior Site Reliability Engineer @Lunar Energy

Role Description

At Lunar Energy, we're on a mission to transform the way we power our homes by building an ecosystem of all-electric products, starting with a next-generation home battery system and a cloud PaaS to manage large fleets of Distributed Energy Resources (DER) assets. We are currently seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our talented team of engineers, dedicated to delivering a more sustainable future. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring end-to-end platform reliability, security, and internal tooling. You will have the opportunity to strongly influence and contribute to the team’s future.

The software team at Lunar Energy empowers you to explore multiple facets of our technology stack, aligned with your personal interests and abilities. We have a strong tradition of leveraging functional programming and type systems to craft pragmatic and flexible systems that align with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, highly available infrastructure and internal tooling solutions in AWS
• Take ownership of ensuring continuous operation of critical systems, including databases and ETL pipelines
• Develop and maintain highly effective CI/CD pipelines
• Enable fast iteration through implementation and improvement of automation and AI
• Reason about cloud infrastructure strategy to help ensure that solutions are the best fit for requirements
• Develop and evangelise security best practices, such as automation of a secure software development process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 8 years’ of experience in DevOps, SecOps, Platform Engineering or SRE roles.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using infrastructure as code
• Experience managing cloud databases at scale in at least one of: Postgresql, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB
• Hands-on experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of networking and network security
• Proven industry experience in SecOps
• Proficiency in one or more scripting programming languages (Python, Ruby, Bash, etc.)
• Linux

Requirements

• Experience with serverless technologies
• Experience with Typescript
• Proficiency in application penetration testing, ethical hacking, and vulnerability assessments
• Interest in the IoT and renewable energy industry
