Role Description
As a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer, you will work on one of the world's largest social media platforms which deals with a few petabytes of data coming to the system daily. You will contribute as part of an R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Obtains tasks from the project lead or Team Lead (TL), prepares functional and design specifications, and approves them with all stakeholders.

Provides estimations, agrees task duration with the manager, and contributes to the project plan of the assigned area.

Updating and optimizing local and metadata models and responsible for resolving crisis situations within his/her AOR.

Understand the business drivers and analytical use-cases and translate these to data products.

Initiates and conducts code reviews, creates code standards, conventions, and guidelines.

Suggest technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.
Qualifications
-
Over 5+ years of experience as a Kubernetes/DevOps Engineer specializing in building and operating large-scale, high-performance distributed systems backed by a university degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Strong experience with Kubernetes and batch schedulers (e.g., Volcano, Kueue) for orchestrating large-scale machine learning workloads.

Solid understanding of distributed systems, containerization, and cloud-native architectures.

Hands-on experience managing workloads on Kubernetes clusters such as AWS EKS.

Proven track record working on infrastructure migrations.

Proficiency in Python and Golang.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Helm).

Background in observability and monitoring for GPU clusters (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Requirements

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is CAD 62,874 to CAD 147,504.

Compensation may be influenced by geographic location, education and qualifications, certifications and licenses, relevant experience and skills, seniority and performance, market and business considerations, and internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

This role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
