Role Description

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

• Design and manage cloud and hybrid network architectures (VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, peering)
• Automate network provisioning and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
• Implement and maintain load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing solutions
• Ensure secure network design, including firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust models, and segmentation
• Optimize network performance, latency, and throughput for distributed systems
• Integrate networking into CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments and environment setup
• Monitor network health and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across environments using observability tools
• Drive adoption of container networking (e.g., Kubernetes CNI, service meshes)
• Collaborate with security, platform, and development teams to align networking with application needs
• Research and implement innovative technologies to enhance infrastructure automation and optimize development processes
• Support project teams with consulting, proof-of-concept solutions, and continuous infrastructure optimization

Qualifications

• Master´s degree in Information technologies
• Strong troubleshooting capability & skills in complex distributed automation environments
• Ability to think in end-to-end service models, not just device-level configs
• Ability to translate business/service requirements into technical workflows
• Attention to detail
• Ability to mentor and coach team members
• Ownership mindset: takes issues end-to-end until resolution
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills (Dev, Ops, ServiceNow, vendors)
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to different audiences
• Proactive in identifying improvements and optimization opportunities
• English – Upper intermediate (B2)
• Have experience with NSO & Python
• Experience with network automation frameworks (e.g. Cisco NSO, Ansible, Terraform, Python)
• Understanding of infrastructure as code / network-as-code principles
• Strong experience developing and maintaining Cisco NSO service packages
• Deep understanding of NSO architecture, service models (CFS/RFS), FASTMAP and service plan lifecycle
• Solid Python3 skills with strong OOP principles and experience in transactional systems
• Maintain NSO Application and be the go-to resource for NSO topics and issues
• Ability to work with APIs and data models (REST, JSON/YANG)
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Robot Framework preferred)
• Understand Network Architecture
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (L2/L3, BGP, VPNs, IPsec, VRF, segmentation)
• Worked within a Network Operations or Engineering environment
• Experience of Cisco ACI, IOX-XE, NXOS
• CI/CD & release governance
• Experience and knowledge of Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (build, test, release)
• Experience with release management in multi-service network automation platforms.
• Good Linux knowledge including scripting and containerized environment

Salary

Final salary is negotiable. We are offering base salary depending on seniority level and previous experience of candidate. In addition to base salary we provide variable part and other financial benefits. Base salary will not be lower than 2600€ /brutto.

Please be informed that our remote working possibility is only available within Slovakia due to European taxation regulation.
