[Hiring] Lead DevOps Engineer @Cencora

Role Description

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to lead the standardization of application deployments, containerization, and release processes across our organization. In this role, you'll:

• Design and implement consistent, repeatable deployment pipelines.
• Eliminate friction and inconsistency from teams rolling their own solutions.
• Containerize applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes.
• Establish shared CI/CD frameworks.
• Create tooling and documentation that empowers engineering teams to ship reliably and confidently.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and platform teams to define best practices and golden paths.

The ideal candidate brings:

• Deep hands-on experience with modern DevOps tooling (CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Helm).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• A strong track record of driving adoption of standardized processes at scale.
• Comfort in balancing technical depth with cross-team collaboration.
• Pragmatism, communication skills, and motivation to make other teams more productive.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in platform engineering, software engineering, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or a related field required.
• Certification in cloud platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, site reliability engineering, or equivalent preferred.
