Role Description
LMI is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the LMIβs SHEPRD application. The DevOps Engineer will design, automate, maintain, and improve the cloud infrastructure and delivery pipelines supporting SHEPRD development and operations.
Working closely with developers, cybersecurity engineers, and product leadership, this role will enable reliable and repeatable software delivery across development, test, and production environments, with a focus on:

Qualifications

Active Secret security clearance.

Bachelorβs degree in a technical field or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles.

Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

Experience deploying and supporting applications in AWS, Azure, or comparable cloud environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Rancher.

Experience scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
-
Working knowledge of cloud networking, DNS, load balancing, TLS, and application connectivity.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Requirements

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting automated build, test, security scanning, and deployment.

Provision and manage cloud infrastructure across development, test, and production environments.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot deployment configurations using Helm and Kubernetes manifests.

Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Helm releases through Rancher Fleet and Palantir Apollo, including database migration jobs.

Deploy and support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.

Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and operational dashboards.
-
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, configuration, container, and deployment issues.

Support incident response, rollback, recovery, and root-cause analysis.

Manage application configuration, secrets, certificates, and deployment dependencies.
-
Collaborate with developers and cybersecurity engineers to improve reliability, security, and delivery workflows.

Maintain deployment documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies and support SHEPRD releases and operational events.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Experience supporting U.S. Army, DoD, or other federal systems.

Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or other DoD-authorized environments.

Experience with GitOps, microservices, and container orchestration.

Experience with observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch, or CloudWatch.

Familiarity with DoD RMF, STIGs, and secure software delivery practices.
-
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, CKA, or Security+.
Travel Requirements

Occasional CONUS travel required, up to 25%.
Salary Information
Target salary range is $122,000 - $211,000.
The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to location, internal equity, business considerations, client contract requirements, and candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, skills, and security clearances.
