Role Description
The Deployment Coordinator leads and orchestrates planned and emergency deployments for all PPL Customer Service applications. This role involves coordinating pre-deployment activities, maintaining schedules, facilitating readiness meetings, and ensuring smooth and successful releases across various teams and environments.
Key Responsibilities

Leads weekly planned and emergency deployments for all PPL Customer Service applications.

Orchestrates and coordinates pre-deployment activities, including securing required Cloud and Database support.

Maintains deployment schedules, checklists, implementation plans, readiness tracking materials, and a deployment registry.

Conducts weekly business touchpoint meetings to review test plans and confirm post-deployment validation coverage.

Facilitates deployment readiness meetings, go/no-go discussions, deployment communications, and post-deployment follow-ups.

Collaborates with Scrum Masters to support smooth and successful releases for their teams.

Removes barriers for technical leads and assists business partners with troubleshooting deployment-readiness issues.

Coordinates validation activities and confirms required smoke testing, business verification, and operational handoffs.

Works closely with teams to drive accountability and maintain records of Root Cause Analysis outcomes.

Maintains communication between vendors, contractors, and PPL IT to minimize QA environment overlaps and mitigate dependency risks.

Identifies and escalates deployment blockers, schedule conflicts, environment readiness concerns, risks, issues, and approvals.
Qualifications

Strong understanding of deployment, release, change, and implementation coordination practices.

Ability to organize complex deployment activities across multiple teams, systems, environments, vendors, and contractors.

Skilled at managing schedules, checklists, dependencies, risks, issues, approvals, action items, deployment records, and recurring communication cadences.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder updates and executive-ready status summaries.

Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Familiar with production support, DevOps, change management, QA environments, application release environments, and post-deployment validation practices.

Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and coordinating release activities across sprint, program increment, project, or value stream milestones.

Understands relationships with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, technical leads, testing teams, operations, business stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.

Experience managing release readiness, deployment tasks, implementation dependencies, test plan alignment, and validation activities within a backlog or release plan.

Strong communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional teams and employees at all levels.

Collaborative coordinator who keeps teams organized, informed, accountable, and focused on successful implementation outcomes.
