Role Description
A Workday Systems Analyst specializing in Prism Analytics & Reporting is responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing data analytics and reporting solutions within Workday. This role enables data-driven decision-making by delivering insightful and actionable reports and dashboards. The analyst collaborates closely with functional stakeholders across HR, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure timely and accurate data delivery. This position reports to the Business Applications Manager and supports the ongoing Workday project, with potential for full-time employment upon project completion.
- Report Development & Maintenance: Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Workday Report Writer, Prism Analytics, and Discovery Boards.
- Data Management & Modeling: Create and manage Prism datasets, transform data using calculated fields, and ensure data quality and integrity across reporting assets.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver insights aligned with organizational goals.
- System Configuration & Support: Maintain reporting permissions, troubleshoot report-related issues, and ensure compliance with security and data governance policies.
- Testing & Optimization: Test reports and dashboards for accuracy, validate Prism data sources, and refine performance for optimal user experience.
- User Support & Training: Provide guidance and training to end users on how to access, interpret, and utilize Workday reports and dashboards.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience building reports and analytics in Workday, including use of Prism Analytics.
- Experience with Workday Report Writer, Advanced Reports, Composite Reports, and Discovery Boards.
- Familiarity with data modeling concepts and transforming large datasets for analysis.
- Participation in at least one Workday implementation or Prism deployment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for translating business needs into reporting solutions.
- Ability to troubleshoot report issues and optimize for performance and usability.
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital environment is preferred.
- Understanding of Workday data sources across modules such as HCM, Payroll, Finance, and SCM.
