[Hiring] Supervisor Business Intelligence @WPP Media

Role Description

As the Supervisor Business Intelligence (All), you will act as a senior technical individual contributor, leveraging your expertise to optimize and scale our highly mature, dbt-powered data framework without the overhead of people management. Equipped with advanced cloud resources and AI tools, you will drive massive impact by writing code, architecting data pipelines, and building React-based applications and Agentic AI integrations.

• Expansion: Maximize and scale our mature, enterprise-grade dbt framework to support complex media reporting while optimizing Data Warehouse performance, SQL queries, and cost-efficiency.
• Governance: Own and elevate our GitLab CI/CD pipelines to guarantee seamless version control, automated testing, and secure deployment of all data models.
• Application: Develop and maintain lightweight, high-impact React-based frontends that interface directly with our Data Warehouse to streamline reporting and operational workflows.
• Deployment: Manage the deployment of custom web applications using GitHub Actions while leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to host, scale, and secure them.
• Acceleration: Leverage generative AI tools like GitHub Copilot to speed up your own coding while building custom automation tools for the wider team.
• Innovation: Prototype and deploy Agentic AI, LLM-powered tools, and smart dbt integrations to automate manual processes and revolutionize how we interact with media data.

Qualifications

• Extensive, practical experience working with large-scale, enterprise-grade dbt projects and complex SQL databases.
• Advanced experience managing repositories, branching strategies, and automated CI/CD pipelines within GitLab.
• Hands-on experience building lightweight, high-impact React applications.
• Skilled in deploying applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managing deployments via GitHub Actions.
• A GenAI power-user with experience or a strong passion for building AI agents, working with LLM APIs, and orchestrating agentic workflows.
• Ability to lead through technical excellence and architectural guidance, preferring to mentor and build rather than handle administrative management.
