Role Description

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help us change the way the world works, with Parallels: anytime, anywhere, any-device productivity. The ideal candidate can take ambiguous business problems and turn them into structured, data-driven insights that inform decisions. This role combines predictive modeling, funnel and revenue analysis, and rigorous experimentation to identify and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities. The ideal candidate can distinguish signal from noise, interpret complex or nuanced results, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Beyond analysis, this person acts as a thought partner to Product, Marketing, and Finance—bringing rigor, challenging assumptions, and driving measurable business outcomes.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will:

• Use quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand what drives our business
• Provide insights to help business and product leaders understand marketplace dynamics, user behaviors, and long-term trends
• Produce recommendations and use statistical techniques and hypothesis testing to validate your findings
• Build, deploy and maintain predictive models (e.g. churn, LTV, ARR, etc.) and translate model output into actionable business strategies
• Define and analyze key stages of the customer funnel (e.g. acquisition, activation, conversion, retention), identifying bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement
• Design and analyze A/B tests, including defining success metrics, guardrails, and power requirements, and ensuring correct interpretation of results
• Ensure data quality through processing, automation, modeling, and reporting
• Identify and prioritize the highest-impact opportunities across modeling, funnel performance, and experimentation
• Contribute to the growth of knowledge of our team with internal and external documentation or presentations

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Math, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar domain
• 5+ years of experience in data science or equivalent role
• Experience working with funnel optimization, user segmentation, cohort analyses, time series analyses, regression models, etc.
• Expertise with A/B Testing, and statistical analysis in Python
• Proficiency in one or more data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)
• Experience with GA4 data and BigQuery
• The insight to take ambiguous problems and solve them in a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported way
