Role Description

This is a Senior Data Engineer position working on the core data platform. You’ll design and operate data pipelines, support real-time processing, and ensure accuracy across high-volume transactional systems. You’ll also build services that make data accessible across internal tools and APIs.

You’ll work with a modern data stack in an event-driven environment, owning systems end-to-end — from development to monitoring and reliability — while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and processing systems
• Improve and evolve the data platform into a reliable production system
• Model and handle high-volume transactional data
• Ensure data accuracy, freshness, and observability
• Develop services that expose data to internal teams and systems
• Own deployments, monitoring, and ongoing system reliability
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Strong background in building and operating data platforms
• Expertise in SQL and large-scale data processing
• Experience with modern data tools and event-driven systems
• Proficiency in Python or similar languages
• Strong focus on data quality and system reliability
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows

Bonus Points

• Experience in payments or financial systems
• Background with high-volume or real-time data
• Familiarity with transactional or ledger-style data models
• Exposure to blockchain or digital asset ecosystems
• Experience in fast-growing or early-stage environments
