Role Description

As a Senior Data Engineer on our global data platform team, you will build and maintain high-scale, near real-time data pipelines to support our expanding global product and service teams. Working in a remote environment based in Brazil, you will extend operational support across US time zones while working with high-throughput event streams and modern data platforms.

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade, event-based data pipelines capable of processing thousands of events per second in near real-time.
• Implement scalable data modeling designs and orchestration logic to transform raw event streams into optimized data models for downstream business consumption.
• Extend core data platform toolsets and manage the release, monitoring, and maintenance of production data pipelines.
• Partner directly with upstream product teams generating data, downstream consumers, SRE/Infrastructure, and InfoSec to ensure data quality, security, and pipeline compliance.
• Utilize agentic AI tooling in daily workflows to accelerate development, improve context management, and write maintainable code.

Qualifications

• ~3–5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience building production data platforms (formal degree not strictly required; relevant hands-on impact is prioritized).
• Strong proficiency with Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Solid practical experience with AWS cloud services and Lakehouse/Data Lake fundamentals.
• Familiarity with high-throughput event-based data streaming and real-time processing patterns.
• Clear verbal and written English communication skills to collaborate effectively across international teams.
