The Service Fund team at Humana is looking for an experienced individual in Business Intelligence that will be working with large volume datasets and applying their ability to take action with data-driven results. This individual will work with internal and external partners, ensuring deadlines are met and financial transactions are executed with high accuracy.

You will report to the Associate Director, Business Intelligence.

Humana is seeking an individual for the Senior Business Intelligence Data Analyst to provide support for its expansion of value-based programs, working heavily with providers and internal Humana teams to achieve success on the Service Fund team. This individual will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and valuation of new programs.
• Maintenance of current programs.
• Utilizing complex SQL, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Power Automate and/or Power Apps to drive process improvement.
• Conducting research and producing reporting of monthly activity.
• Assisting in producing reports and completing ad hoc requests using Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and other analytical tools.
• Providing support for payments to value-based specialists.
• Aiding in the evaluation and expansion of all value-based programs into new markets and business areas.
• Spearheading the use of new technologies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' advanced experience developing complex SQL queries.
• 1+ years' experience in Healthcare related data (e.g., Provider, Insurance).
• Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., Pivot tables, Vlookups, formatting).
• Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadership.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and/or Databricks/Unified Data Platform.

Requirements

• Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in health insurance related data (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, Claims, Premium Data).
• Experience with Pyspark and/or Python.
• Experience with tools such as Power Automate or Power Apps to assist in process automation.
