Role Description

Babylist is looking for a Senior Business Analyst, AI & Automation to help define how we operate today — and how we evolve through AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and intelligent automation. This is a true 0→1 role at a company leaning fully into what AI makes possible.

• Your focus is understanding how work actually gets done.
• Identify where decisions happen, where things break down, and where time is spent on work that shouldn’t require human effort.
• Turn messy, real-world processes into structured, AI-ready specifications.
• Create clarity from ambiguous workflows across the business.
• Ask hard questions, map reality, and turn it into something buildable.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in business analysis, process improvement, or systems design.
• Track record of leading end-to-end process discovery across multiple business functions.
• Deep experience translating ambiguous, real-world workflows into structured artifacts (BRDs, process maps, or equivalent).
• Experience with AI or automation-driven initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with LLM platforms or AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts.
• Understanding of how AI systems operate in production.
• Experience defining decision logic, exception handling, and edge cases.
• Contributed to evaluation frameworks for AI-powered workflows.
• Strong cross-functional partner, comfortable going deep with business teams.
• Clear and structured communicator.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Excited about what AI can do and actively uses it in work.

Requirements

• Lead end-to-end process discovery across key business areas.
• Design and document current- and future-state workflows.
• Identify and prioritize AI and automation opportunities.
• Define AI-ready process specifications.
• Translate process insights into clear, structured artifacts.
• Partner closely with the AI enablement team and engineering.
• Establish success metrics for AI-powered workflows.
• Support UAT readiness and rollout.
• Drive continuous improvement by incorporating operational feedback.
