Role Description

The Senior Analytics & Reporting Analyst on the Medicare Stars Reporting team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting and analytical solutions that support Medicare Stars performance across HCSC contracts. This role leverages data from multiple sources to deliver actionable insights, monitor performance against Stars measures, and support strategic initiatives aimed at improving quality outcomes, member experience, and contract performance.

• Designing and maintaining recurring and ad hoc reporting, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools using Tableau, Power BI, and Teradata.
• Conducting detailed performance analyses, trend identification, forecasting, and root-cause investigations to assess measure performance.
• Identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting operational and clinical intervention strategies.
• Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of reporting methodologies, data sources, and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree and 2 years experience in data analysis and information reporting data OR 4 years experience in data analysis and information reporting data.
• Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures to solve routine or basic problems.
• Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
• Solve complex problems with guidance.
• Produce data sets and reports for analysis using SQL, Excel, or other reporting tools.
• Verify accuracy of reports and provide insights.
• Knowledge of SQL, SAS, and/or Teradata or other reporting tools/languages.
• Work with both internal and external data.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals.
• Learn needed skills by performing assigned work.

Requirements

• Knowledge of the CMS Star Rating System, including HEDIS, Pharmacy, Administrative, and CAHPS and HOS Measures.
• Deep understanding of advanced analytics tools and languages to analyze large data sets, including:
• SQL query development and programming – Required
• Tableau – Required
• Python or R or other statistical language – Preferred
• Teradata – Preferred
• Databricks - Preferred
• Ability to understand business operations requirements and translate them into technical applications.
• This is a remote role.
