Role Description

As a Principal Architect, your primary responsibility will be to ensure customer success for 3Cloud. This role is dedicated to customer data strategy and advisory delivery.

• Collaborate with 3Cloud team members to deliver client data strategy engagements incorporating people, process, technology, and data.
• Build a strategic roadmap designed to enable client digital transformation by implementing a strong data management foundation.
• Play a substantive role in the Data Practice with an ability to scale over time.
• Identify, collaborate, and design technical solutions for the lifecycle of data using Azure technologies.
• Engage in customer-facing roles and lead technical and economic value discussions with senior customer executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and demonstrate emerging technologies and concepts to teams.
• Lead the delivery of a broad range of data engagements.
• Manage project delivery teams to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
• Lead effective requirements gathering and/or design thinking workshops.
• Lead design of the modern data platform architecture based on requirements.
• Mentor the team for implementation for the client engagement.
• Conduct detailed assessments, analyses, and interviews to understand client problems.
• Identify, develop, and document issues, perform analysis, draw conclusions, and formulate strategic recommendations.
• Create strategy, assessments, vision, roadmaps, and business case deliverables.
• Actively develop client relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrate thought leadership regarding the 3Cloud Data Practice.
• Monitor technology trends related to data management.
• Leverage advanced database systems for business, financial, and operational analysis.
• Design and help develop high performing, reliable, and scalable solutions.
• Clearly communicate technical details to business and management personnel.
• Author, oversee, and gain approval of design documents for projects assigned.
• Work independently or lead a team to design and develop solutions.
• Provide meaningful feedback and coaching to other team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with database design and architecture.
• At least 2 years with Azure technologies and previous consulting experience.
• Expert knowledge of Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Analytics concepts.
• 10+ years of data and analytics experience.
• Extensive knowledge of business process design and optimization.
• Strong presentation, written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently or as part of a project team.
• Passionate about learning new technologies.
• Analytical approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Data Movement (ETL/ELT).
• Data Warehousing (Designing and Implementing, Azure SQL, Synapse).
• Azure Storage Technologies (Data Lake, Blob Storage).
• Data Governance (including Data Quality and Profiling, Master Data Management, and Metadata Management).
• Business Intelligence, including Reporting and Visualizations (KPI, Scorecards).
• Predictive, Prescriptive, and Descriptive Analytics.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies (SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data bricks, Azure Synapse, Cosmos DB, Azure Data Lake, Power BI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with Financial Valuation for Data and Analytics.
• Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking.
• Desire to work in an information systems environment.
