Role Description

We’re hiring a Manager of Business Intelligence to join our growing technology team! A typical day in the life of our Manager of Business Intelligence could include:

• Leading a team of analysts and engineers.
• Owning the strategic architecture of our BI environment.
• Partnering with executive leadership to track critical KPIs.
• Working closely with the CTO to define and execute Nextep’s overarching BI strategy to ensure data initiatives align with company growth.
• Overseeing the extraction and integration of complex datasets from PrismHR and other third-party tools into a centralized ecosystem.
• Designing and delivering sophisticated internal dashboards for Sales, Operations, and Finance while developing client-facing analytics for our SMB customers.
• Maintaining rigorous data governance and security standards to ensure full compliance with PII and HIPAA regulations.
• Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in HR tech and data visualization to drive innovation and inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering.
• Strong background in the PEO or HR Tech industry, with deep knowledge of payroll datasets and HRIS structures.
• Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake and SQL, and proven mastery of Power BI or Looker.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives for executive leadership and small business owners.
