Role Description

Akumen, Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Requirements Analyst to lead requirements analysis and support the enhancement and delivery of mission-critical federal government systems. The Lead Requirements Analyst will be responsible for:

• Leading requirements analysis activities supporting complex federal government systems.
• Working closely with Government stakeholders, end users, development teams, and Agile team members to identify, analyze, document, and refine requirements.
• Facilitating requirements discussions and translating business and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements.
• Collaborating with development teams throughout the requirements and system development lifecycle.
• Providing leadership, guidance, and mentoring to other analysts.
• Supporting Agile teams using Scrum methodology, including requirements refinement and other Agile activities.
• Using Jira or a related system to document, manage, and track requirements and associated activities.
• Preparing analytical reports, assessments, and recommendations.
• Analyzing complex business, operational, and system problems and developing recommendations.
• Applying strong communication and active-listening skills to understand stakeholder needs and requirements.
• Working effectively in a remote and highly collaborative environment while maintaining team engagement.
• Using Tableau workbooks and dashboards to perform analysis and support requirements recommendations.
• Developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of SEVP's mission, organizational units, and operational requirements.
• Developing expert-level knowledge of SEVIS features, functionality, business processes, and applicable regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience working as an analyst.
• 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment.
• Experience working with an Agile team using Scrum methodology.
• Experience using Jira or a related requirements or work management system.
• Experience working closely with software or application development teams.
• Experience working directly with end users and business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated experience providing leadership and mentoring to other analysts.
• Experience preparing analytical reports and assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong active-listening capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote, highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Must be a United States citizen and have the ability to obtain a federal clearance.

Benefits

• Minimum $115,000 - Maximum $135,000 annually.
• The salary range listed for this position reflects Akumen, Inc.'s current estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting.
• Actual compensation may vary based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, education, certifications, technical skills, security clearance status, geographic location, and alignment with contract, labor category, and customer requirements.
• Compensation decisions may also be influenced by contract award status and available funding.
