[Hiring] Director, Risk Control Business Analysis @Liberty Mutual

Role Description

Lead a team of business analysts who own data management, operational and value reporting, and ad‑hoc data requests for Risk Control. This role is central to reinventing Risk Control through AI and advanced analytics:

• Set strategy, partner with data science and engineering to deliver productionized models and insights.
• Translate those capabilities into underwriting and claims outcomes.
• Balance long‑term strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Represent Risk Control in cross‑functional AI and data conversations.
• Build a data‑savvy, outcome‑driven analytics practice that standardizes approaches across the function.
• Accelerate measurable underwriting improvement.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated strategic leadership in analytics or AI transformations.
• Track record of partnering with data science and engineering to move models from prototype to production.
• Deep understanding of Risk Control / Risk Engineering and Property & Casualty insurance operations.
• Practical experience with BI and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong business case development skills.
• Proven change‑management and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to responsible data and AI practices.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications in analytics, data science, AI, or a related field are strongly preferred.
