Role Description

The Digital Analytics Developer & Analyst is a hands-on technical and client-facing role responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining measurement solutions across web and mobile experiences. This role ensures accurate, reliable data collection that supports marketing effectiveness, customer journey optimization, experimentation, personalization, and business decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines strong front-end development and analytics implementation skills with the confidence to lead client conversations. They can translate complex technical concepts, risks, and recommendations into clear executive-level messages focused on business impact and next steps.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into technical tracking specifications, data layer requirements, tagging designs, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and maintain analytics implementations using Adobe Data Collection, Adobe Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Adobe Customer Journey Analytics.
• Write and troubleshoot custom JavaScript to capture page views, user interactions, forms, navigation, ecommerce activity, media engagement, and other customer behaviors.
• Use HTML, CSS, Regular Expressions, DOM traversal, and DOM scraping to identify, capture, transform, and validate digital experience data.
• Design and maintain scalable data layers across websites, single-page applications, and mobile experiences.
• Partner with developers and architects to integrate measurement requirements into application code and release processes.
• Test and debug analytics implementations using browser developer tools, network requests, console logging, tag debuggers, and platform-specific validation tools.
• Identify and resolve issues such as missing values, duplicate events, race conditions, selector changes, malformed requests, and inconsistent data.
• Support integrations with experimentation, personalization, consent management, and customer data platforms.
• Create and maintain data dictionaries, tracking specifications, implementation guides, test plans, release notes, and technical documentation.
• Build reports and visualizations using Adobe Analysis Workspace, Adobe CJA, Looker Studio, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Own analytics implementation projects from discovery and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and post-launch validation.
• Lead client discovery sessions, technical reviews, solution walkthroughs, and implementation readouts.
• Translate technical architecture, data-quality issues, dependencies, and tradeoffs into concise executive-level recommendations.
• Clearly communicate business impact, delivery risks, priorities, and next steps to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Promote reusable development patterns, implementation standards, governance, and opportunities to automate quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of hands-on digital analytics development and implementation experience.
• Strong experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Adobe Data Collection, and Google Tag Manager.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, including event handling, DOM traversal, data transformation, asynchronous execution, browser storage, and debugging.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, jQuery, Regular Expressions, JSON, APIs, cookies, and browser behavior.
• Experience with DOM inspection, DOM scraping, CSS selectors, and browser developer tools.
• Experience designing and maintaining data layers for websites, single-page applications, or mobile experiences.
• Ability to test analytics implementations across browsers, devices, environments, and release cycles.
• Experience creating technical specifications, data dictionaries, test plans, and implementation documentation.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with clients and senior business stakeholders.
• Strong presentation and executive communication skills, with the ability to convert technical details into clear business implications and recommendations.
• Confidence leading client meetings, technical discovery sessions, and executive-level readouts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience implementing Adobe Customer Journey Analytics.
• Adobe Analytics, Adobe CJA, or Adobe Experience Platform certification.
• Experience with Adobe Target, Optimizely, Adobe Real-Time CDP, Tealium, or similar platforms.
• Experience with mobile analytics and SDK implementations.
• Familiarity with consent management platforms, Git, automated testing, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with React, Angular, Vue, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience in a consulting, agency, professional services, or enterprise client environment.
