Role Description

The Databricks Engineer – Operations role is responsible for supporting and maintaining enterprise data platforms built on Databricks, Airflow, and PySpark. The role focuses on ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable data processing pipelines for business-critical analytics and reporting systems.

• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions to improve platform stability.
• Collaborate with global teams including Data Engineering, QA, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data services.
• Work with modern cloud technologies across Azure and AWS, driving operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Grow your expertise in scalable data platforms, performance optimization, data quality, and emerging technologies within a collaborative and innovative environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of strong experience with Databricks (Spark / PySpark)
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow (DAGs, scheduling, monitoring)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience in data pipeline operations and production support
• Knowledge of distributed data processing and Spark optimization
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Services - nice to have
• Exposure to data governance and data quality frameworks - nice to have
• Fluent English level
