[Hiring] Databricks Architect @Athyna

Role Description

We're looking for a Databricks Architect to join a growing data team focused on building and optimizing scalable data platforms. If you are analytical, collaborative, and experienced with Databricks and data architecture, keep reading!

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Design and architect scalable data solutions using Databricks
• Orchestrate and optimize data workflows and pipelines
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Guide developers by defining technical approaches, priorities, and implementation strategies
• Review existing backend data objects and recommend improvements
• Collaborate closely with the data team to ensure best practices in architecture and performance
• Provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on when necessary
• Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or related roles
• Strong expertise with Databricks and its ecosystem
• Experience designing and orchestrating complex data workflows
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data architecture principles
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms
• Strong SQL skills
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Requirements

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar
• Experience with Spark and distributed data processing
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics environments
