[Hiring] Data Migration Engineer @Puzzle Consulting Services

Role Description

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented Data Migration Engineer responsible for accurately and efficiently maintaining, updating, and mirroring customer data between BodyShop Booster and external systems. This role will work with customer records that may need to be transferred, synchronized, reconciled, or manually updated across reporting platforms, management systems, and collision-industry software such as CCC ONE.

Accuracy is critical. The successful candidate will be trusted with sensitive customer and business information and must be capable of completing repetitive, high-volume data work without sacrificing quality. This is an ideal role for someone who is extremely organized, technically comfortable, process-driven, and takes pride in making sure every record is correct.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately migrate, mirror, update, and maintain records between BodyShop Booster and external customer systems.
• Review source data and ensure information is transferred completely and correctly into the destination platform.
• Work within external management systems, reporting tools, and collision-industry platforms, including systems such as CCC ONE.
• Maintain accurate customer, vehicle, repair, appointment, and related operational information across multiple systems.
• Perform routine data reconciliation to identify missing, duplicated, inconsistent, or inaccurate records.
• Investigate discrepancies between Booster and external systems and take appropriate corrective action.
• Follow documented workflows and customer-specific requirements when updating records.
• Handle personally identifiable information (PII) and confidential customer information in accordance with established security and privacy requirements.
• Maintain clear records of completed migrations, updates, exceptions, and unresolved issues.
• Escalate system issues, unexpected data behaviour, or workflow inconsistencies when appropriate.
• Meet turnaround-time expectations while maintaining an extremely high level of accuracy.
• Assist with the creation and improvement of migration processes, documentation, checklists, and quality-control procedures.
• Work closely with Customer Experience, Support, Implementation, Product, and Engineering teams when data or integration issues are identified.

Success in this role means data can be trusted. Records should be updated promptly, consistently, and accurately, with minimal errors or rework. The Data Migration Engineer should be able to manage a high volume of information while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. The ideal candidate understands that even a small data-entry or synchronization error can impact customer communication, reporting, repair workflows, or operational decisions.

• Strong computer literacy and the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar software platforms.
• Experience working with data migration, data entry, record synchronization, data reconciliation, or similar workflows.
• Experience handling confidential information and personally identifiable information (PII).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and customer-specific instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills when records do not match or expected data is unavailable.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of assigned work.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CCC ONE or other collision repair management systems.
• Previous collision repair or automotive industry experience.
• Experience with estimating, repair orders, insurance assignments, customer files, or body shop operations.
• Experience working with APIs, integrations, data mapping, structured data, or system-to-system synchronization.
• Experience with CRM, reporting, or business-management platforms.
• Experience working in an environment involving regulated, sensitive, or privacy-controlled customer information.
• Familiarity with quality-assurance or data-validation processes.
