Role Description

JD Power Valuation Services is looking for a Data Insights Analyst to work on vehicle datasets that power our core products. The key contributions include vehicle configuration, content analysis, and data management. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analysis skills, is detail-oriented, and can work under tight deadlines. The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

• Ensure our vehicle datasets are accurate, complete, and delivered on schedule to support J.D. Power valuation products.
• Your analysis and configuration work will improve data quality and consistency across business lines, enabling faster decisions and more reliable market insights.

What You’ll Be Doing in This Role:

• Assisting in data preparation and creation (under supervision) of vehicle data for J.D. Power vehicle valuation products; maintaining vehicle data in accordance with system and product business rules.
• Building and distributing vehicle data records used internally by various J.D. Power business lines, based on established business rules.
• Helping build the capability to connect vehicle data across multiple datasets.
• Managing tasks independently or with minimal supervision, with training for functioning situations.
• Working with vehicle manufacturers to capture correct vehicle features, specifications, and attributes.
• Quickly analyzing multiple features and functions across various vehicle styles, using that information to build datasets, identify issues, and respond to internal and external inquiries.
• Identifying and extracting key information from available documents; incorporating additional data sources and researching additional data points when needed.
• Quickly identifying errors/problems within the data that require attention.
• Working directly with our residual value creators to build and maintain the vehicle datasets used in our internal and external products while gaining a fair understanding of the production process.
• Performing data entry as part of a process of refreshing lender residual programs at the beginning of each month.
• Assisting on special projects for the team or cross-functionally.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail is a key success factor for this role.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and experience with Access and Tableau a plus.
• Previous data configuration or data management experience a plus.
• Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of cars and/or the automotive industry a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 2 years of work experience.

Benefits

• This position has a starting salary range of $19.10 – $21.00 CAD per hour.
• An employee’s pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
