Role Description

This position involves analyzing electronic health record and national survey data using computer and statistical analysis software such as Python and R, conducting literature searches on statistical data analyses, and generating tables and figures for manuscript and conference presentations. The candidate will work under the general supervision of Dr. Li.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature searches for statistical data analyses.
• Summarize literature search into reportable paragraphs.
• Analyze electronic health record data using advanced statistical and machine learning models.
• Analyze national survey data using advanced statistical, machine learning, and deep learning algorithms.
• Build custom external programs using Python and R to automate data cleaning, data transformation, data quality control, and reporting.
• Generate tables and figures for manuscript and conference presentations.
• Write reports to summarize and interpret the analysis results from the social media data.
• Attend group meetings and present findings from the analysis.
• Meet with the research team to discuss the results.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1 year post high school education required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics (preferred).

Requirements

• Experience working with large datasets.
• Experience with data analysis software Python and R.
• Experience with machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Experience using relational databases.
• Must be able to work on-site or remotely.
• Skilled at Python and R programming and able to perform statistical and machine learning models.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work and communicate well with a multi-disciplinary team.

Benefits

• Compensation Range: $18.00 - $25.14.
• The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job.
• Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, determined by factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
