Role Description

The role involves designing, building, testing, and managing data pipelines, ensuring compliance with data governance and security requirements, and collaborating with various teams.

• Data Pipelines:
  • Design, build, test, and manage data pipelines for key data and analytics consumers.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security requirements.
  • Make changes to ETL processes and support upgrade and testing initiatives.
  • Pursue options for data extraction and analysis from the Epic source system.
  • Develop solutions for benchmarking and process improvement data requirements.
  • Ensure data analytic solutions do not interfere with transactional systems.
• Metadata Management & Data Modeling:
  • Develop and implement data models to support CCHMC strategies.
  • Document data models and extract processes for team reference.
  • Automate data preparation and integration tasks to improve productivity.
  • Refine existing solutions to deploy best practices in reports and database structure.
  • Work with vendors to ensure support for CCHMC investments.
  • Address complex reporting requests requiring deeper knowledge of data models.
• Technical & Business Skill:
  • Proficiency in Data Management practices and architectures.
  • Proficiency with SQL, object-oriented scripting, and DevOps principles.
  • Understanding of core CCHMC clinical, business, and research processes.
  • Obtain Epic certifications as needed.
  • Build skills through continuing education.
• Technical Support & Customer Services:
  • Provide outstanding end-user support and monitor Service Level Agreements.
  • Promote change management policies and procedures.
  • Model outstanding customer service behavior.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, especially data science teams and business analysts.
  • Provide second-level incident resolution and support customer satisfaction efforts.
  • Maintain and refine support documentation.
• Project Execution & Management:
  • Execute project tasks with urgency and quality.
  • Communicate status using project management tools.
  • Participate in project meetings and serve as technical lead for projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers on scope, risk, and budget management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Preferred: Experience working in cross-functional teams and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proficiency in one or more Data Management practices and architectures.
• Proficiency with SQL and object-oriented scripting.
• Understanding of core CCHMC clinical, business, and research processes.

Benefits

• Expected starting pay range: $94,036.80 - $120,078.40.
• Additional pay and benefits may apply based on experience and qualifications.
