Role Description
We are seeking a Data Strategist focused on Data Governance to oversee the implementation of data governance frameworks for our clients. This role involves working closely with organizations to ensure they meet regulatory requirements, establish data quality standards, and promote data stewardship across their operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies, along with the ability to influence and guide stakeholders at all levels.
- Design and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to client needs, encompassing data quality, privacy, security, compliance, and stewardship.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including data owners, IT, and business units, to establish data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and industry standards by conducting regular audits and assessments.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance data governance awareness and literacy among client staff.
- Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives and report findings to stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend improvements to data governance practices based on changing regulations, industry trends, and client feedback.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Solid experience in data governance and data management.
- Experience working with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies such as Unity Catalog, Purview and/or Alation.
- Fluency in English Communication.
Requirements
- Certifications in Data Governance or related areas (Nice to Have).
- Experience in project management and change management methodologies (Nice to Have).
- Knowledge of emerging trends in data governance and data privacy (Nice to Have).
- Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese (Nice to Have).
