Role Description

The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting business data to provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making and improve business performance across the GEL Services Division.

• Support the Division’s retail businesses and shared service functions.
• Analyze operational, financial, customer, workforce, and other business data.
• Identify trends, opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain meaningful reports, dashboards, KPIs, and other analytical tools.
• Work collaboratively with business leaders and functional teams.
• Translate data into practical recommendations that improve performance, efficiency, profitability, customer experience, and service delivery.

The role requires strong analytical and business acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and visualization.
• Experience developing management reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience working with multiple data sources and large datasets.

Requirements

• Advanced data analysis and interpretation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in business intelligence and data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.
• Data cleaning, preparation, and management skills.
• Knowledge of SQL or other data querying tools.
• Experience working with ERP, POS, HRIS, CRM, financial, retail, and/or operational systems.
• KPI and performance measurement capability.
• Report automation and process improvement skills.
• Data visualization and presentation skills.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Strong analytical problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
