Role Description

This is a remote central research administration position reporting to the Associate Director, Clinical Trial Management Systems within the Office of Clinical Research (OCR) under the Office of the Vice President for Research. The Clinical Research Analytics & Systems Analyst serves as the primary resource for clinical research metrics, reporting, analytics, and data visualization across the research enterprise. The role develops, maintains, and analyzes operational and strategic performance metrics using Power BI, Advarra Analytics, OnCore, and other research systems to support data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing meaningful dashboards, reports, and performance indicators to support:
• Optimized research activation
• Participant accrual
• Data entry timeliness
• Financial performance
• Compliance
• Overall research operations
• Financial reporting responsibilities:
• Combining, validating, and reconciling OnCore invoice and payment information with Workday financial data
• Monitoring invoiced revenue, payments received, outstanding balances, and overall clinical trial financial performance
• Serving as a backup resource for the OnCore support team, assisting with user support, troubleshooting, reporting, testing, and training activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Health Informatics, Data Analytics, Clinical Research, Public Health, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience in clinical research, healthcare analytics, business intelligence, research administration, or research systems support.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Requirements

• Experience with OnCore Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS).
• Experience with Advarra Analytics.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI.
• Experience working within an academic medical center or clinical research environment.
• Knowledge of clinical research operations, study activation, participant accrual, data entry timeliness, and financial management processes.
• Experience using Workday financial data or similar enterprise financial systems for reporting and reconciliation.
• Experience with SQL, database management, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with research systems such as REDCap, Epic Research, and eIRB.
• Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (CCRP), Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC), or equivalent preferred.
