Role Description

Associates in this role develop, train, run, and communicate analytical models to business partners and other end users while making connections to larger Nationwide Financial initiatives and goals.

• Lead financial and operational measurement projects.
• Identify relevant data sets for data analytics application(s).
• Create visual and statistical solutions using advanced business intelligence tools and appropriate research methodologies and best practices.
• Run in-depth data analysis to uncover actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Serve as a bridge between business leaders and data.

We are seeking candidates who are versed in the financial industry, especially with Mutual Funds and Life Insurance experience.

It is our intention to fill this role in Columbus, Ohio; however, applications from internal candidates working remotely with critical industry skills and relevant experience may be considered.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate studies in computer science, management information, business, mathematics, or related field with post-graduate studies preferred.
• Typically, eight or more years’ experience in data visualization, financial and operational measurement, and data-extraction queries.
• Professional experience in insurance, financial services, or a related industry preferred.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of business and/or insurance policies and procedures, customer service concepts and practices.
• Advanced understanding of and working knowledge to create and maintain ad hoc and standard reports, including data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• Ability to understand business processes and the data produced by them.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate findings into actionable communications.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to develop distinctive and understandable data visualizations.
