Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented BA/QA Specialist with a strong insurance background and expertise in requirements gathering, test planning, and documentation best practices. This role serves as a key liaison between Business and IT, ensuring business objectives are translated into clear, actionable solutions.
- Analyze business processes and document requirements
- Oversee manual testing of new features and bug fixes
- Drive process improvements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define and document requirements, workflows, and system enhancements
- Partner with IT teams, vendors, and business units to validate requirements and ensure successful deployment
- Develop test plans and execute manual testing to validate system changes
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving production issues
- Serve as the bridge between Business and IT
- Provide regular project updates, prepare release notes, and conduct feature demos
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business and IT initiatives
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)
- 2-4 years’ experience in business analysis and quality assurance software testing (required)
- Experience in homeowner’s insurance, MGA, or brokerage is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook)
- Experience in test planning, execution, and defect management
- Strong skills in eliciting, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with business partners, IT teams, and vendors

- Proactive problem-solver with exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose effective solutions
- Experience presenting to stakeholders, conducting feature demos, and preparing release notes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
