Role Description

The Business Analyst is accountable for driving end-to-end process excellence across the International Vehicle Payments Technology landscape. Acting as a strategic partner to both Technology and Business leadership, the role identifies, analyses, and improves operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and increase commercial value. This position focuses on diagnosing performance gaps, designing future-state operating models, and embedding measurable improvements across systems and workflows. The successful candidate will lead structured process transformation initiatives within a complex, international payments environment, ensuring solutions deliver sustainable operational impact and quantifiable benefits.

Responsibilities

• Process Transformation & Optimisation (Primary Focus)
  • Lead end-to-end analysis of cross-functional business processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, duplication, and risk exposure.
  • Define and document current-state processes using structured modelling standards (e.g., BPMN), ensuring transparency and consistency across teams.
  • Design future-state processes aligned to strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational performance targets.
  • Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream methodologies to drive measurable cycle-time reduction, cost optimisation, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Establish clear process ownership models, governance structures, and performance metrics.
  • Build and maintain a structured process inventory and control framework to support scalability and operational resilience.
  • Track and report measurable improvement outcomes, ensuring benefits realisation is embedded and sustained.
• Performance & Data-Driven Insight
  • Define operational KPIs aligned to business strategy and process objectives.
  • Use data analysis to diagnose root causes, validate improvement hypotheses, and quantify impact.
  • Support the creation of performance dashboards and management reporting to drive accountability.
  • Partner with business leaders to continuously monitor and refine process performance.
• Requirements & Change Enablement (Supporting Focus)
  • Translate process improvements into clear functional and non-functional requirements for system change.
  • Facilitate structured discovery workshops focused on eliminating complexity and ambiguity.
  • Ensure technology solutions align to agreed future-state processes and do not introduce unnecessary operational friction.
  • Conduct change impact assessments specifically relating to process redesign and operating model evolution.
  • Support stakeholder adoption through structured documentation, training, and governance enablement.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading end-to-end business process improvement initiatives within complex, technology-enabled environments.
• Demonstrable expertise in structured process methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, BPMN, value stream mapping, or equivalent frameworks.
• Proven track record of delivering measurable operational improvements (e.g., cycle time reduction, cost optimisation, control enhancement, quality uplift).
• Strong capability in current-state assessment, root cause analysis, and future-state process design.
• Experience establishing process governance, ownership models, and performance metrics.
• Ability to translate process redesign into system, data, and control requirements.
• Confident facilitation of cross-functional workshops focused on diagnosing inefficiencies and driving alignment on improvement actions.
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capability, with experience using operational data to validate and quantify impact.
• Solid understanding of technology landscapes and system change lifecycles sufficient to ensure process and technology alignment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in roles focused on business process optimisation, operational excellence, or transformation within a technology-enabled environment.
• Experience operating in regulated, high-control, or payments/financial services environments is advantageous.

Desirable

• Professional certification in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or equivalent process improvement disciplines.
• Recognised Business Analysis certification (e.g., BCS, CBAP, PMI-PBA).
• Experience supporting large-scale operating model transformation.
• Exposure to performance reporting and data visualisation tools.
