[Hiring] Associate Data Analyst @ZBiotics

Role Description

As an Associate Data Analyst, you’ll be an early contributor to ZBiotics’ growing Data & Analytics function. This role is especially well-suited for data analysts who want to grow into analytics engineering and deepen their technical skills while staying close to business impact.

• Partner with cross-functional teams like Supply Chain, E-commerce, and Marketing to understand their data needs.
• Create reports and data assets to give partner teams insights into their function.
• Maintain reporting that supports the function’s operations.
• Build on existing SQL and analytical experience.
• Design reliable data models and maintain data pipelines.
• Support scalable analytics in our Analytics tech stack (Fivetran, BigQuery, dbt, Hex).
• Turn raw data into well-structured, trustworthy datasets, metrics, and insights.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as a data analyst, analytics engineer, or similar role.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience using SQL to answer business questions and build analyses.
• Familiarity with (or strong interest in learning) dbt, data modeling, and analytics engineering best practices.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts; experience with experimentation or A/B testing is a plus.
• Experience building dashboards, reports, or recurring analyses for stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with marketing, product, or operations data is a plus.
• Prior experience creating/maintaining production dbt data models is a plus but not required.

• Comfort collaborating with stakeholders and translating vague questions into analytical work.
• Willingness to receive feedback and learn through code review.
• Clear communication when explaining both insights and data limitations.
