Role Description

We are hiring an Associate Business Analyst in Operational Oversight – Compliance at BCBST! In this role, you will support Operational Oversight and Compliance initiatives through:

• Operational reporting
• Data analysis
• Process oversight
• Excel-based reporting

Focus areas include TennCare, Employment and Community First CHOICES (ECF CHOICES), and Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS). As a key member of the Operational Oversight – Compliance team, you will:

• Monitor data to meet timeliness and compliance standards
• Assist with external audits
• Identify potential issues
• Support the development of solutions and process improvements to enhance efficiency and resource utilization

The Associate Business Analyst partners closely with internal teams and stakeholders to:

• Support compliance activities
• Conduct audit reviews
• Provide operational reporting
• Engage in ongoing process improvement efforts

You will help analyze data, investigate identified issues, recommend process improvements, and support efforts to ensure operational activities align with established contractual and regulatory requirements.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or audit review
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated approach
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Professional conduct and auditing credentials
• Preferred experience in ECF CHOICES/LTSS

This is a remote, Monday-Friday position with candidates needing to be able to work either:

• 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM CST
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM CST

Candidates must reside in the State of Tennessee. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing multiple deadlines and supporting:

• Data analysis
• Compliance
• Audits
• Operational reporting
• Process improvement initiatives

Basic Excel skills are preferred, including:

• Conditional formatting
• Navigating worksheets
• Understanding rows and columns
• Using basic formulas
• Sorting and filtering data
• Performing copy-and-paste functions

Advanced Excel expertise is not required, but candidates should have a solid foundational understanding of Excel since all reporting for the role is completed within the application. This is not an advanced data development or business intelligence position. Candidates should be comfortable using Excel for day-to-day operational reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years of technical or operational experience, or equivalent demonstrated experience through successful completion of the BlueSky program

Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Proficient interpersonal and organizational skills
