Role Description

The Testing & Analytics Analyst independently performs retirement plan compliance testing, employer contribution calculations, client-data analysis, and plan-document review within established procedures, regulatory guidance, and departmental controls. The role manages an assigned workload, validates results for completeness and accuracy, communicates testing outcomes and corrective requirements, and supports internal and external stakeholders. The Analyst serves as a knowledgeable resource for routine and moderately complex questions and escalates novel, ambiguous, sensitive, or higher-risk matters to a Senior Analyst or department leadership. The position also participates in approved process, reporting, documentation, control, and automation improvements.

The position requires strong analytical, organizational, technical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to support internal and external stakeholders, resolve questions, manage deadlines, and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of 401(k), retirement plan, compliance testing, plan analytics, or related financial services experience required.
• 1+ year of client-facing or customer support experience in the financial services industry required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business, or related field of study required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered where applicable.
• QKA preferred.
• Ability to obtain ASPPA Retirement Plan Fundamentals (RPF) I within 6 months of hire and RPF II or equivalent certificate within 1 year of hire required, based on departmental requirements.

Requirements

• Working to intermediate knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL requirements related to retirement-plan compliance testing and employer contributions, with the ability to apply established guidance to assigned work.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent computation and data analysis skills.
• Ability to research and interpret 401(k) regulations and plan document provisions.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and basic calculations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting team goals and departmental objectives.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiencies.
• Ability to build effective internal relationships and communicate with management, senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.
