[Hiring] Analyst, Business Intelligence, MLD, I @Carrington Mortgage

Role Description

Responsible for supporting the Mortgage Lending Division (“MLD”) by producing routine reports, dashboards, and data extracts with accuracy and timeliness. Works under close supervision and follows established procedures to ensure compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. This entry-level role focuses on learning internal systems, understanding key performance metrics, and assisting with basic data analysis tasks. The target pay range for this position is $62,000 to $75,000.

• Collaborate with team members to understand business metrics and reporting needs.
• Maintain regularly scheduled reports and/or automate as appropriate.
• Perform data validation and analysis of all report data to ensure accuracy.
• Support operational and ad-hoc reports and data extracts.
• Properly document the procedures and process of assigned reports.
• Conduct manual data review to solve a business question, identify a trend, or respond to an audit issue.
• Actively gain business knowledge to better understand and serve our business customers.

Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, SSRS).
• Foundational knowledge of SQL or other query languages is a plus.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, collaboration and technical skills.
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new tools, systems, and business processes quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with basic statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent job experience in business intelligence, report development, data analysis, data integration or information management. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field preferred.
• Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience in a data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence role.
• Business Analyst experience and/or Residential Mortgage Industry experience preferred.
