Role Description
This role involves providing comprehensive support to patients as the first point of contact.
- Manage a high volume of incoming calls from patients, addressing inquiries, and providing information regarding healthcare services.
- Assist patients with appointment scheduling, registration, and navigating their healthcare options.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits, explaining coverage details to patients.
- Handle inquiries related to medical billing, referrals, and prior authorizations.
- Resolve patient concerns and complaints with professionalism, empathy, and effective problem-solving strategies.
- Coordinate communication between patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives to facilitate a seamless experience.
- Document patient interactions accurately and maintain records in the system.
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage high call volumes while maintaining a patient-centered approach.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare systems.
- Proficiency in using patient management software and other relevant technology.
- Ability to empathize with and assist patients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Amenable to work in a graveyard shift.
