[Hiring] Virtual Care Coordinator @Pappas OPT Physical and Hand Therapy

Role Description

The Virtual Care Coordinator will assist with staffing shortages and coverage as needed. Responsibilities include:

• Checking patients in and out
• Collecting copays
• Going over insurance benefits
• Scheduling follow-up appointments as needed
• Working with internal teams of Care Coordinators
• Assisting with customer service and scheduling efforts
• Being the face of the kiosk in the waiting room for patients to check in
• Assisting multiple clinics with the check-in process
• Performing various front office duties such as reminder calls and scheduling new evaluations

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Candidate must be friendly and enjoy helping others
• Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment
• Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system
• Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
• 6-8 months of experience working as a Care Coordinator for PappasOPT preferred but not required
• Knowledge of computer programs (preferred)
• Knowledge of business office procedures (preferred)
• Experience in customer service (preferred)

Requirements

• Sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment
• Manual dexterity needed for using a calculator and computer keyboard
• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Frequently required to use hands and fingers, handles, tools, or controls
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
