Role Description

The Verifications Representative is responsible for verifying the prior employment, education, professional certifications, and references for Asurint clients as part of their pre-employment screening process.

• Conducts investigative research to handle customer orders by leveraging technology platforms and contacting verifying parties in accordance with Asurint support guidelines.
• Documents research outcomes and performs data entry utilizing proprietary software.
• Updates order statuses appropriately.
• Provides professional internal and/or external customer care related to product questions or problem resolution.
• Handles confidential information responsibly and with good judgment.
• Contacts clients and outside resources via phone and/or email to verify information.
• Analyzes information collected to identify potential problems or discrepancies.
• Performs extensive internet inquiries and searches to support verification fulfillment.
• Locates information quickly and accurately in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and procedures.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, or research, or investigative experience is preferred.
• Experience with the legal/court system is preferred.
• Experience with background screening is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
• Relevant business management systems such as general ledger, HRIS, CRM, etc. is preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Certifications or licensure: If you do any work-related driving while at Asurint, a driver’s license and ability to maintain a driving record that is satisfactory to the company’s liability insurance carrier is required.
• Years of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
• Years of experience supervising: None.

Requirements

• The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices.
• This position is performed remotely within the United States or in an office setting in the Cleveland, Ohio headquarters.
• Inside Asurint’s office environment, the noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
• In a remote setting, the employee is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
• The schedule is generally normal Eastern Time Zone business hours, although the employee may be required to perform work, attend meetings and events before or after normal working hours, and occasionally on weekends and evenings.
• Some travel by personal automobile and a valid driver’s license may be required.
• Ability to lift light objects (less than 20 pounds) and carry them short distances (20 feet or less) is required.
