Role Description

We are seeking Remote Response Operator to play a vital role in providing support, advice and reassurance to members of the public across Lincolnshire. As a Remote Response Operator, you will:

• Assess incidents and conduct initial enquiries.
• Provide safeguarding and crime prevention advice.
• Resolve appropriate incidents remotely through telephone and video-based contact.
• Make informed decisions using the THRIVE principles.
• Accurately record crime and incident information.
• Ensure people receive the right level of support and response.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy problem solving, communicating with people and making a positive difference within their community. Successful candidates will be required to work from one of the advertised police stations. Final postings will be confirmed following interview and will be based on operational requirements and available vacancies.

Requirements

• Read through incidents and determine whether a crime has occurred.
• Create crime reports where required.
• Conduct initial lines of enquiry and investigation through telephone enquiries.
• Provide safeguarding, victim care and crime prevention advice.
• Resolve suitable incidents remotely, reducing the need for officer deployment.
• Record and maintain accurate information on police systems in line with national standards.
• Gather and preserve evidential material through remote engagement.
• Exercise professional judgement in resolving and closing appropriate incidents.

Benefits

• Starting salary of £30,333, plus shift allowances worth approximately £6,570 when working a full-time shift pattern (Pro-rata'd for part time).
• Weekend Working allowance of approx £4,295 per annum based on full time hours.
