Role Description

Serves as a Call Center agent to support the Patient Access Registration Call Center within Piedmont Healthcare. Performs Registration activities in a remote environment to ensure patient accounts are complete with valid insurance coverage and current demographic/clinical data. Responsibilities include:

• Calculating patient financial responsibility
• Presenting patient financial options/requirements
• Processing patient payments
• Performing functions for multiple sites across Piedmont Healthcare
• Including various service lines such as emergency department, L&D, and assigned Outpatient locations

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 1 year experience in one of the following:
  • Healthcare Revenue Cycle Required
  • Clinical role Required
  • Related clerical accounting/finance/retail/customer service Required
• 3 years of healthcare Revenue Cycle/Call Center experience Preferred
• Prior Epic experience Preferred
• None Required for Licenses and Certifications
• Certification with Healthcare Financial Management Association Preferred
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative Preferred
