About the Client:

The client is a growing residential property management company committed to delivering high touch service to both property owners and tenants. Their team values proactive problem solving, consistency, and providing a seamless experience at every stage of the tenant lifecycle.

About the Role:

This role is responsible for managing the leasing process from initial lead follow up through lease execution. The Leasing Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining leasing velocity, ensuring a strong applicant experience, and keeping internal stakeholders aligned. This is not an entry level position. The ideal candidate already understands residential leasing fundamentals and is comfortable working independently inside AppFolio with minimal supervision.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound leasing inquiries via phone, text, email, and AppFolio

• Maintain fast and professional response times aligned with service standards

• Clearly explain availability, pricing, requirements, and next steps to prospects

• Proactively follow up with prospective tenants to convert inquiries into showings

• Schedule and manage property showings using ShowingHero or similar tools

• Coordinate or conduct property showings as needed

• Ensure prospects receive timely confirmations and follow ups

• Pre screen applicants and answer leasing related questions accurately

• Guide applicants through the full application process in AppFolio

• Ensure applications are complete and properly submitted before review

• Coordinate application reviews with ownership and internal teams

• Prepare and send lease agreements through AppFolio

• Track signatures and ensure all lease documents are fully executed prior to move in

• Coordinate approved move in timelines with applicants and internal teams

• Ensure a smooth handoff to the property management team after lease execution

• Communicate move in details clearly and accurately

• Maintain accurate and up to date records in AppFolio

• Provide regular leasing status updates to owners and internal stakeholders

• Flag issues, delays, or risks early to keep leasing timelines on track

🎯 Qualifications & Skills

• Required:

  • At least 1 year of experience in residential leasing or property management

  • Hands on experience using AppFolio is required

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong phone presence and professional communication style

  • Ability to manage multiple listings and deadlines simultaneously

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and process driven

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, high volume environment

  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote work setup

• Preferred:

  • Experience using ShowingHero

  • Leasing experience with single family homes and small multifamily properties

  • Familiarity with California leasing practices and timelines

  • Experience with remote leasing or virtual showings
